In itself, glass is nothing more than a chemical composition of several elements. Glass is now widely used for structural fronts, window panels and skylights.

And not just because it is technologically possible to create as high or broad a glass frame as required but for the simple reason that glass has acquired additional properties that help cut off heat levels and ultra-violet radiation.
